MONTANA'S TU CONSERVATION & FLY FISHING CAMP
The 2020 Camp is scheduled for Sunday-Thursday, July 12-16, 2020!
Each summer, twenty boys and girls (between ages 11 to 14) from around the state of Montana and beyond spend 5 fun-filled days learning about fly fishing, fly tying, watershed management and coldwater fisheries at Camp Watanopa on the banks of Georgetown Lake. Campers and counselors will take field trips to local streams, visit a fish hatchery and check out a completed habitat restoration project. Montana TU provides all the fishing equipment and classroom supplies during the 5-day, 4-night camp.
MGTU is proud to sponsor two scholarships for campers from the Madison-Gallatin area that are motivated indivduals who are excited about learning from experts on water quality, stream restoration, aquatic insects and coldwater fisheries. Students do not need to know how to fly fish, but must be willing to learn. The $400 fee to attend will be paid by MGTU and includes all meals and lodging, but does not include transportation to and from the camp.
